FM Conway is currently recruiting for a Plumbing Operative to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. As our Plumbing Operative you will carry out a wide range of plumbing repairs and preventative maintenance across all FM Conway sites. This is a permanent, full time position based from our head office in Sevenoaks, Kent.

The duties of the Plumbing Operative role will include:

- Responding promptly to maintenance requests with a focus on diagnosing and repairing plumbing systems such as pipework, water heaters, drainage and sanitary fittings

- Carrying out preventative maintenance and inspections to reduce the risk of failure and ensure compliance

- Supporting the wider facilities team in maintaining other building systems such as HVAC, electrical and mechanical when required

- Completing general building repairs including minor carpentry, painting, fittings and flooring tasks

- Maintaining accurate records of completed plumbing and maintenance work in line with company procedures

- Identifying and reporting any safety concerns or potential hazards related to water systems and leaks

- Working with the wider maintenance team on larger renovation or improvement projects

What skills and experience do you need?

You will have experience in plumbing maintenance and repair within commercial or industrial environments, along with a good understanding of other basic building systems. An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or City and Guilds in Plumbing and Heating is desirable. You must have a full UK driving licence and be confident using mobile devices to complete tasks.
